David Chartrand

David was born in Brooklyn NY and grew up in Satellite Beach Florida where he graduated from Satellite High School in 1996.

David began his journey in Law Enforcement at the age of 13 as a Police Explorer with the Indialantic Police Department in 1991. David started young to gain knowledge in the Law Enforcement field. After graduating high school, he became a Police and Fire Communications Officer for the Indialantic and Satellite Beach Police Departments. Dave then entered the Police Academy at the Brevard Community College in Melbourne Florida and graduated in 2001. Dave later became a Police Officer for the Indialantic Police Department in 2002. After leaving the Indialantic Police department in 2005, Dave joined the Health First Security Department at Holmes Regional Medical Center Level 2 Trauma Center where he worked in the Emergency Room for 7 years. David not only gained knowledge in hospital security but in the medical field as well.

During his time with Health First he became the Lead Field Training Officer for the department in 2008. David also became a certified instructor in special areas to include the following: ASP Baton and Tactical Handcuffing Instructor, International Police Defensive Tactics Institute (IPDTI) Instructor in Combat Hapkido, Basic Life Support and First Aid Instructor, and was a certified Hazmat Technician. David took further courses with FEMA and took live training courses with the Department of Homeland Security in Anniston Alabama.

Health First contracted security to G4S Secure Solutions where David helped transition and develop the company’s introduction to Healthcare Security. David obtained his Florida class D and G License. G4S used David to open up and maintain several new contracts with his strong work ethics. David helped start the contracts at Keiser University, Tele Tech, and General Electric all in Melbourne Florida. David was then promoted to the rank of Captain where G4s let David supervise all 3 sites due to his great working relationships with those clients.

David took a break from security in 2016 and began working as a gunsmith with Inner Ordinance in Palm Bay Florida. David took over many areas with I.O. and finished as the stores retail manager in the gun store. Due to the downfall in the economy and sales David resorted back to his security and law enforcement background. David got hired on as a security supervisor with Allied Universal Security at the Melbourne Square Mall where he was the rank of Sergeant and Field Training Officer. David was in charge of his shift and for training all new officers. It was there where he and Steve Ford solidified their plans and goals to start their own security company and initiated the Elite Security Forces.
