Steve served two years in northern California at Sierra Army Depot, and also served three years at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. After serving for five and a half years, Steve was honorably discharged and ended his tour of service, and returned home to Brevard County, FL. Steve attempted a career in beverage sales with Coca-Cola and Budweiser, but with the downfall of the economy, Steve resorted back to his security and law enforcement background. Steve started a security job with Health First in 2007, where he became a shift supervisor within the first two years of employment. Within that first two years with Health First, Steve also became a certified instructor in several areas, to include the following: ASP baton training/handcuffing techniques, International Police Defensive Tactics Institute (IPDTI) Instructor in Combat Hapkido, OC Pepper Spray Instructor, and he also became the Hospital Safety and Security Officer Trainer/Field Training Officer. In 2011, Health First contracted security to G4S Secure Solutions, and Steve helped transition and develop the company’s introduction to healthcare security, and also helped manage their schedules, payroll, and daily executive reports to the Health First Administration. In 2016, Steve moved from Holmes Regional Medical Center to Cape Canaveral Hospital, when he became the Security Manager/Site Supervisor for G4S Secure Solutions. While managing at CCH, Steve assisted and helped lead the successful operations and evacuations for both Hurricane Matthew(2016) and Hurricane Irma(2017). In 2018, Steve was relocated to Sebastian, FL, where he managed G4S security operations for the Department of Administrative Hearings of the State of Florida. It was while there that he and David Chartrand solidified their plans and goals to start their own security company, and founded the Elite Security Forces.
